Received lot of inputs.
Thanks for taking out time to see this ppt and opine
Following are the various replies
1. With the foot alone I’d think of PVNS. But with the knee mass as
well, I’m more inclined towards fibromatosis.
Pls let us know what others think.
3. It looks like a multicentric giant cell tumor of the tendon sheath to
me.
Best,
4. Agree with desmoid type fibromatosis as there are clearly low signal
collagenized bands as seen in between 80%-90% of these cases. Multifocality
is also present in 5%-20% of cases.
5. Thanks for sharing this interesting case. To me, looks like an
extraabdominal
desmoid tumor. On MRI, the masses have heteregeneous intermediate signal
intensity on T1 and T2 sequences, with prominent low SI bands and marked
enhancement. These tumors have an infiltrative growth pattern and a strong
tendency to recurrence, with the extremities accounting for approximately
70% of the cases. Of note: patients under 30yo tend to have more aggressive
disease with higher rates of local recurrence (up to 87%).
6. Fibromatosis is the only diagnosis here.
7. Have also seen glomangiomas like this but those are homogeneously
bright.
8. I’ve seen a very similar, locally aggressive Desmoid tumor (fibrous
lesion) in the foot of an adolescent.
9. I see that it can rarely be multi focal.
10. I only mention it because it looks so similar (though I can’t find that
case to share, it was many years ago)
11. Looks a lot like Desmoid (fibromatosis).
12. I was thinking extra abdominal desmoids which are probably in the
spectrum of fibromatosis?
13. Desmoid or fibromatosis
14. think that it is probably aggressive fibromatosis.
15. Multiple desmoid (fibrous) tumors
16. Definitely fibromatosis!!
