Dear OCADers,
I would really appreciate help on this case of a 24 year old male who presented with foot pain and rigidity. The pain has been on and off since childhood, but had recently increased when he took up a mechanical job at a factory and also started working out.
I can see a calcaneonavicular coalition, but what confuses me is: What accounts for all of this extra bone formation? Is there a co-exisiting talocalcaneal coalition? Is the bone just remodelling with ligamentous ossification?
Thank you in advance!
Dr. Mai Ebrahim Mattar
Thank you to all whom have replied.
The responses are:
1. Trevor disease x 2 (I will try to get radiographs of the patient’s hips and knee).
2. Coalition with ligamentous ossification.
3. CN coalition with os Sustentaculi.
4. CN coalition with Os Calcaneum.
I am now convinced that it is Trevor disease.
Thank you once again!
Mai
