49/F, subcutaneous anechoic nodules adjacent to cephalic vein

Palpable bean-like nodules at the left proximal upper arm for 6 weeks.

Medical history:
ORIF for right distal femur open fracture on car accident 5 months ago.
Local gynecology clinic, suspected of vaginitis and blisters on lips –>
HSV on acyclovir, 2 months ago

*US findings*
– three small anechoic nodules adjacent to cephalic vein and another
superficial vein at the left proximal upper arm (2 mm, 3 mm, and 4 mm)
– no tenderness (-) not compressible (-)
– no definite posterior enhancement
– no detectable flow on Doppler

*Do you have any idea? *
Other subcutaneous nodules related to viral infection? or the recent
medication?
Can it be possible for a thrombosed diverticulum or branch of cephalic
vein? (even from vein?)
Is there possibility of tumorous conditions?

Thank you for your responses in advance 🙂
