When I was a “bouncing off the walls” little kid and started to tell a story, my dad (a university Radiologist) used to say, “Start near the end Phillip”. With that in mind, I want to ask you to consider a donation to keep the great functionality of OCAD going and growing.
We are based on community and volunteerism, and Hilary Umans and I are deeply committed to keeping OCAD 100% free to users so long as we have anything to do with it. But, to be honest, there are actual expenses involved in maintaining and running OCAD. Any donation to OCAD, Inc. (incorporated as a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit) will be a U.S. tax deduction. If the mere solicitation didn’t make you trash this email, please read below some of the useful and frankly wonderful functionality of OCAD as food for thought.
Thanks very much and think about it!
The OCAD community was extremely generous to me after the fire that took my house and possessions 3 years ago and I will be the first donor as a small way of giving back and saying thanks to this amazing group of people!

Interesting facts about OCAD:
OCAD has grown from a simple email chain more than 18 years ago to a thriving on-line musculoskeletal radiology community with approximately 1250 members worldwide. On January 1, 2020 we launched the ocadmsk.com <ocadmsk.com/> website which serves as the online archive for all cases shared through the Google Group listserv and a repository for our growing video content. In 2020 a volunteer group within OCAD organized and we have hosted a Multidisciplinary Lecture Series by our clinical colleagues. We simultaneously launched a monthly Case Presentation Series in collaboration with the Musculoskeletal Imaging Group of Rio de Janeiro, all of which is videotaped and available on-demand through our website. In 2019 we held an inaugural Live meeting predicated on collegial and egalitarian concepts ingrained in our online forum that was a great success. Having sadly canceled planned events in the US and Sweden for 2020, we are now planning a 2nd Live meeting in San Diego in 2022. (Perhaps you will join us!?)
This is just the beginning.
Emerging from the pandemic, OCAD, Inc. will continue to evolve. We’re proud to harness digital education and remote experiences so that our community will continue to thrive. The word on the social networking platforms is that OCAD is “an incredible, unparalleled, free MSK radiology resource” and it has been described as a lifeline for members isolated by geography or circumstance in need of diagnostic assistance (personally my favorite aspect of OCAD).
