49MHistory given for XR "acute onset frozen shoulder 2 weeks ago".
XR read as normal….looks normal, even in retrospect.
Typically, pain precedes limited range of motion for some weeks.
Symptoms of acute onset limited range of motion should not scream adhesive capsultis, clinically.
When there is acute onset of pain and LROM, without trauma, think about calcium hydroxyapatite deposition (a good reason to get screening XRs).
The MRI was done 3 weeks after the apparently normal XRs.
I don’t have a tissue diagnosis, but it is a clearly aggressive, radiographically occult lesion.
