Question

Dear OCADers,

I have a question which is not really a case presentation.
One of our 2 MRIs is an 8-years old 1.5 T MRI GE.
The representatives propose us to make a complete upgrade which would grant
us a nearly new machine, instead of changing MRI. According to them, it is
actually a better, and obviously a much less expensive solution, with the
end-of-life expected for the magnet around 20-25 years.

Does it correspond to your experience?

Thank you for your answers

We don’t often do that, but when we have done major upgrades, it has been
    an incredible success.
We had a 1.5T Siemens Symphony that we used for 22 years including MAJOR
    hardware and software upgrades.
We actually published an example of the difference it made.
