puzzling case: multiple AVNs and small vessel dilatations hand MRI

Hi again, dear Ocaders
This friend of mine, also a radiologist, had recurrent inflammations of the
joints in the last couple of years
Recently, did MRI of the hip – and discoverred AVN of the femural head
Then mri of the hands – bilateral AVN of the scaphoid
Rehumatologist is still investigating
I am sure will find some imunological/ rheumatological disease.
BUT: I am puzzled by those small vascular dilatations of the superficial
vessels in the hand
quite simmetrical, involves metacarpian and fingers area. Some sort of
rheumatoid vasculitis? Please give me your opinion…

Thank you,
Sorin
