Posterior mid arm pain and stiffness 41M 7 weeks post work injury. MRI humerus. Please Help.

The history is work injury (not specified) 7 weeks ago with mid posterior
arm pain, stiffness and limited range of motion. The referrer requested
evaluation of “mid triceps tear”. There is no muscle or tendon tear and no
visible soft tissue mass or collection.

This is done in one of those open 1.2T MRI and they did 3 planes of T1 and
STIR. T1 look normal and are not shown.
There is complete signal loss in more caudal axial images. at the distal
triceps tendon.
The most proximal axial images are obtained at the proximal humeral shaft,

I think there is diffuse edema without atrophy of the medial and lateral
head, sparing the long head of the triceps.
The lateral head is supplied by C6 and medial head is supplied by C8.
Long head is supplied by C7.
I think this is acute neuropathic edema, but don’t understand the
distribution.
I had wondered about DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness), but if the
relevant injury was 7 weeks ago, and there has not been subacute overuse,
that doesn’t make sense.

Thoughts?
