I am asking whether you agree that this must be a Med Head Gastroc muscle
hernia with secondary fatty atrophy….or do you think I should recommend
US to confirm?
I see muscle hernia all of the time on US, but I don’t recall seeing the
fatty change.
It really only looks like a convincing focal bulge in a few axial
images…I can’t find the caudal margin in the axial plane, and the Cor and
Sag images just confuse me.

So my next question is, does the fatty infiltration at and caudal to the
hernia (if that what it is) suggest entrapment?
It’s interesting that there is no fatty infiltration cranial to the defect.
