Hey all
Happy Friday. This young med student is also a gymnast. She felt something going her palm when doing a handstand.
Initial US report said haematoma adjacent to 5th flexor tendon maybe from ruptured vein.
I did the follow up scan and the haematoma has shrunk. I think she ruptured a slip of the palmar aponeurosis as the abnormality is where we usually see Dupuytren’s and I can faintly see what I think is the distal portion of the slip but cannot make a convincing picture. Has anyone seen similar?
Cheers
Graeme
