Dear colleagues,
I was asked about writing a chapter for a Clinics monograph on which a
friend and excellent local podiatrist, Larry Oloff, is the Editor. I
can’t take it on but told Larry I would offer it up to the group to see if
anyone could help out. Here please find my message from Dr. Oloff:
“I was asked to be editor of a clinics book on lower extremity sports
injuries. I wonder if you would honor me by writing a chapter on tendon
injuries in athletes. You can ask a fellow of yours to assist in the
process or I can assign one of my residents if you like. I imagine a
chapter that would discuss MR, tenograms and Ultrasound? I would much
appreciate your contribution. It has a relaxed timetable.
The clinics issue is emphasizing foot and ankle but trying to target the
athletic type patient. For tendon pathology, I thought the focus could be
on imaging of Achilles, peroneals and posterior tibial tendons. Focusing on
chronic versus acute. Best uses of MR versus ultrasound versus tenography.”
If any of you OCAD folks or a colleague would like to put something
together, please contact Larry directly:
