Hello everyone 🙂
A 25-year-old male with recurrent left ankle pain for 6 months which showed
wax and wane pattern
He took medication for gout at a local clinic, but left ankle pain relapsed
after a while.
Left ankle MRI scan shows prominent synovial thickening along ankle joint
and medial tendons and obvious bony erosion at medial malleolus
However, no greenish deposit on color mapping indicating MSU crystal was
detected on dual energy CT.
What can be the differential diagnosis? other synovial
proliferative disorders? inflammatory arthritis?
US guided aspiration will be done next weekday.
