I would appreciate your opinions regarding hamstring repair!
Our surgeons have recently started repairing these tears- in this case, a friend of mine (58 and active snowboarder) with complete tear last week (1cm retraction of BT/ST, 5cm retraction of SM) the surgeon said it’s 50:50 whether to operate. Patient’s main concern is being able to snowboard again.
My inclination would be to let it heal on its own, but I’m old school. Any thoughts?
