Clinical indication specified advanced skeletal maturity, though previous
report indicated that the osseous deformity “precludes bone age assessment”.
I’m not sure that’s actually true and I wonder what you think.
If I look at the prior, I do think the size of the phalangeal and
metacarpal ossification centers were large for age, though the growth
plates were a bit wider than the corresponding standards.
Currently I think the chronologic and GP std bone age are concordant in the
fingers.
I’m inclined to report that and indicate that the developmental deformity
prevents application of the standard in the wrist. Thoughts?
