Hi there everyone,
this is a 60 year old female with pain in both her feet, no trauma.
At her left foot the fatsat PD shows some BME in the proximal metatarsals 3 and 4 with some surrounding soft tissue edema. There is no fracture on n/c T1 scans.
I would have reported this as an insufficiency / stress reaction, were it not for the contrast scans, which show marked uptake in the soft tissue of the region.
Is this some inflammatory after all? Or do you get that kind of contrast uptake with mechanical stress as well?
The right foot is due in a few days.
