Motor Vehicle Accident Left Hip pain.

As I discussed with Gavin…not to be a nit-picker, but to clarify the antomyThis is not an ASIS avulsion
It is an avulsion of the iliac tubercle, which is the origin of the ITB
Apparently there is also an avulsion of the iliac crest in this case that he didn’t illustrate, which explains the superimposed gluteus and transverse fascial injuries

Hi All,

Another MOTS, if you permit me to use the term.

Enjoy!

Dear all, Phillip urged me to share this case with you all, a MOTS-case (More Of The Same), by a peculiar occasion I was working with this case of mine as Phillip’s similar case plinged in my Inbox!
Mine is a hyperextension soccer injury, showing also an avulsion of the SIAS. It was scheduled as an MRI of the HIP, so the dedicated smaller FOV coronals and axials of the hip did not cover the injury (and the technician did not do anything extra), but we always do a large FOV to catch those unexpected injuries.

Enjoy another avulsion!

Best wishes from snowy Norway

33 y/o F involved in a car accident 1 1/2 months ago. Symptoms improving but severe pain and difficulty walking.

I’m showing it because it is unusual.

As Dr. Suh would say, Enjoy an avulsion!
