Hi OCADers,
Thanks for the feedback. And the most consensual answer was "medial patellofemoral "muscle"
BW,
Hi Ocaders,
This is an 18-year-old boy who has been complaining of chronic medial knee pain. An MRI was ordered to rule out a meniscal tear (which is normal). He has a low-lying VMO, lower than usual, and looks like an accessory variant – the rest of the study is normal, but the pain is localised there. No ST nor bone edema nor other findings just this funny-looky VMO..Could this be the medial patellar muscle ? Scarce (or almost none) reports in the literature ….
Any other thoughts?
