Dear OCADers
Following are the responses to the case of lateral elbow pain
1. LUCL and LCL gone with heterotopic ossification and posterolateral
joint space widening
2. I like HADD as a differential given mineralization on CT as long as
definitely not intra-articular. If intra-articular, could just be an
osteochondral body. Was thinking to consider GCTTS but given
mineralization, I don’t think that is the case. Just my thoughts.
3. Could it be some hydroxyapatite crystal deposition disease (HADD)? I
favored this possibility due to its close relationship with a tendon, its
CT appearance and the edema changes intimate with the abnormality. HADD can
be a dynamic process with different phases and depending on that can be
quite symptomatic, particularly in the mechanical or migratory phase…needs
clinical correlation for calcific tendinosis….Hope it helps,
4. Looks like a free body in a recess of the joint. Is there a healed
OCD somewhere in the joint not on these images? There was no healed OCD and
rest of the joint was normal
5. Agree. Looks like HADD of the CEO
6. HADD of extensor tendon or periarthritis, little dorsal to extensor
tendon?
7. HADD of extensor tendon!
Regards and Thank all!!
