On a personal note re: SIRVA:
I’m glad you brought this up, Hillary. The Am Acad of Ortho Surgeons 2017 statement says that SIRVA doesn’t really exist and is just coincidental (I discovered this statement 1190-rotator-cuff-tendinopathy-adhesive-capsulitis-and-arthritis-can-not-be-caused-by-vaccine-administration.pdf <aaos.org/contentassets/1cd7f41417ec4dd4b5c4c48532183b96/1190-rotator-cuff-tendinopathy-adhesive-capsulitis-and-arthritis-can-not-be-caused-by-vaccine-administration.pdf> in the comprehensive Radsource article vaccine-related-shoulder-injury <radsource.us/vaccine-related-shoulder-injury/#fnref-13275-19>
In 2018 a close relative had immediate pain from a superiorly-placed shingles II shot from a tech who was standing (vs sitting) during injection, contrary to the lab’s standard.
The lab supervisor initially admitted the error and had a retraining session for techs.
The patient had persistent pain and ROM symptoms, followed in 9 months by bursectomy and repair of full-thickness RCT. The ortho surgeon declared the injection as causal but later retracted his stance re: the RCT, which disallowed our collecting damages—interestingly, the hospital system where I worked was involved. Tough situation1 I find the Academy’s stance incomprehensible. (Especially the Fed Govt automatically pays for childhood SIRVA without even having to use a lawyer.) Oh well.
