Bone marrow maps

Several of you asked about marrow maps

see these two articles from us..

Cheraya G, Sharma S, Chhabra A. Dual energy CT in musculoskeletal applications beyond crystal imaging: bone marrow maps and metal artifact reduction. Skeletal Radiol. 2022 Aug;51(8):1521-1534. doi: 10.1007/s00256-021-03979-2. Epub 2022 Feb 2. PMID: 35112139.

Narayanan A, Dettori N, Chalian M, Xi Y, Komarraju A, Chhabra A. Dual-energy CT-generated bone marrow oedema maps improve timely visualisation and recognition of acute lower extremity fractures. Clin Radiol. 2021 Sep;76(9):710.e9-710.e14. doi: 10.1016/j.crad.2021.05.004. Epub 2021 Jun 9. PMID: 34119304.

I find these marrow maps very useful

all of our osteomyelitis cases who cannot get MRI recieve dual energy CT with contrast

these articles are from the force and flash scanners

The new alpha scanners doesn’t seem to produce any green artifact at the edges

Best!
