Achilles Ultrasound and MRI Previous Surgery 2001 3 weeks pain, no trauma. Help.

Please review the ppt which includes the Cine during ACTIVE ROM. Then MRI from today. I don’t understand the apparent discrepancy. I thought there was a low grade partial tear 1.9 cm prox to insertion on US (I scanned). But during dynamic imaging the distal segment didn’t move at all….so I wondered if there was […]

Shoulder MR arthrogram 31M with pain 6 weeks after fall

[image: 1.jpg] Why can’t we see the contrast in the MRI? Reported by the arthrographer as “intra-articular contrast injection”, was he wrong? [image: 2.jpg] I find so much utility for the BLO sequence—mostly, it is our go to sequence to confirm or exclude labral tear, but it is perpendicular to the infraspinatus tendon, offers a

The chondroid lesion was presumed an incidental enchondroma in 2008. It has grown substantially. Does that imply it is chondrosarcoma? Other? Knee MRI 66F chronic bilateral worsening knee pain

[image: Calf Amyotrophy 1.jpg] [image: Calf Amyotrophy T2FS.jpg] She has bilateral degenerative fraying and tearing of the anterior horn Lateral menisci with DJD—so that explains her chronic pain. My colleague noticed chronic bilateral fatty atrophy of the medial head gastrocnemius. I was not aware of BFAD (benign focal amyotrophy disorders) or of, more specifically, Calf

Thigh Mass present for years 66F ultrasound and MRI

[MLL 66F1.jpg] [MLL2.jpg] [MLL 3.jpg] [MLL 4.jpg] [MLL 5.jpg] Skin thickening and subcutaneous edema were reported without a visible mass, MRI was recommended. I was confused at first by the anatomy….this is a woman with an “appendage-like” mass-like swelling in the anteromedial upper thigh, but no focal mass. There is thickening and edema-like signal the

Shoulder MRI 60F 2 weeks Is this Adhesive Capsulitis?

61F with 2 weeks pain, no other history. No mention of ROM. There is considerable intermediate T1, bright PDFS signal fusiform thickening of the CHL, but I really don’t see thickening of the RI capsule and the axillary capsule looks normal. Maybe mild chronic supraspinatus tendinosis; looks mostly normal. Is this Adhesive Capsulitis? I know
