82 yo particularly parsimonious podiatric patient post pickleball peroneal
pain. (all true except the parsimonious part).
R/O peroneus brevis partial tear.
What is going on here?
A. “Ectopic” subacromial impingement.
B. Complete rupture of the ankle extensor tendons.
C. Oden classification Type I or type II injury of the superior peroneal
retinaculum with dislocation of the peroneus brevis.
D. Answer C + peroneus brevis and longus severe tendinosis and partial
tearing superimposed upon chronic subfibular impingement associated with
pes planus and hindfoot valgus.
E. An attempt by this Radiologist to gain nomination to the alliteration
hall of fame.
