I think an atypical lipoma with focal areas of fat necrosis should be among the differentials. Any trauma in the history? Deep growing quite large fatty lesion – I think surgical removal of the mass will bring the diagnosis.

I was inclined to report this as a parosteal lipoma, but cases I have seen and have seen reported all have an osseous pedicle arising from the surface of bone. This looks a bit different.
I wonder if it is an osteolipoma (if you think that is a different entity), I found a case report.
