Hi Ocaders,
This is a 14-year-old boy who has been complaining of chronic lateral knee pain. An MRI was ordered to rule out a lateral meniscal tear (which is normal). He has an accessory plantaris muscle. There is some subcortical bone marrow abnormality at the lateral epicondyle along the trajectory of the accessory plantaris Could this be due to friction? Please, share your thoughts.
Thanks
Tatiane
