Technical arthrogram question

Thank you for all of the replies that I’ve received.It is indeed due to too much gad which falls in the dependent portion, hence the layering effect.

Good reminder to check what’s in the syringes before you inject…

Many, many years ago , we used undiluted contrast to verify position followed by arthrography . Fellow did the skin wheel, injected some deep and drove the needle to bone. Said the patient seemed to be in pain.

Didn’t want to inject “ blindly” as he put it , so got CT some images, and he had used contrast for the anesthesia….

Am reading totally remotely now as I ride off into the sunset, but always made sure everything was labeled and double checked the tray with the tech, just to be sure after that incident 20+ years ago ..

Have the techs physically show you how they prepare the next tray..,
