Thank you for the replies. Dr Chhabra provided the most detailed reply for these “biomarkers.”
The bottom line is that while the email and poll(see attached) is not scientific, a sizable number of people use the 885 number on ct in one way or another. The details regarding how it is used is somewhat unclear. Many seem to use it as “another tool in the toolbox” and take into account clinical data, lesion margins and other secondary imaging findings when dealing with such sclerotic bone lesions.
