parosteal lipoma

Hello all,

I don’t get too many interesting MSK mass cases in my rural Texas hospital
practice, but I wanted to share this parosteal lipoma with you all. These
are benign, but it seems they are often removed because of their mass
effect on surrounding tissues. Does this align with your experiences? Dr.
Murphey’s lipomatous lesion paper from Radiographics says the surgery can
be tricky because they are tightly adherent to the bone.

Cheers,
Joe
