High-pressure soft tissue injuries with a characteristic small entry wound, which can clinically mask the extent of the injury. Radiographs show the extent of the radiopaque paint, but upon surgery, the soft tissue injury is usually even wider (see attached paper), as suggested here by the soft tissue edema. The cases in the attached paper are rather similar to this one and had good outcomes with prompt surgical debridement.
