Are these normal developmental areas of irregular ossification at both
medial femoral condyles?
Based on the Radsource reference radsource.us/developmental-variants/ it seems those are more
commonly lateral, and typically more posterior.
Bilaterality makes me think it’s probably normal, but I don’t see kids’
knees enough to be sure.
(I see the FCDs…you don’t have to tell me about them)
Thanks, again.
Hilary

Consensus is NOT normal variant.
Bilateral OCD….commonly bilateral in kids.
I’m advised to request bilateral Knee MRI to assess stability and guide
surgical treatment.
