55F more than 3 years pain Fibular Periostitis MRI Please Help

She was reportedly imaged with CT and had a non diagnostic biopsy in 2020 at a major cancer centerThe MRI with and without contrast is from today
The XR are screenshots sent by the referrer….I think they are recent
We don’t have the prior outside CT

It’s benign unilamellar periosteal new bone formation, but alot of reactive ST edema and periosteal and surrounding soft tissue enhancement
It’s only the fibular, so I’m not thinking systemic
I see the outer cortical irregularity with maximal adjacent enhancement…I wonder about EG, oo (a bit old) or chronic abscess (though the location isn’t good)…anything else?
I think we should get a current CT to look for a surface bone lesion.
Agree?

Please help…I am sharing this in consultation for my colleague Jonathan Sterman.

Thank you.

Hilary
