36M 5 months pain Recent ITB steroid injection MRI Please help

I would love to know the location of the ITband injection! I would not put it past a new doc injecting to the cortex of the bone there!

Thank you to Rob for responding. He suggested that the constellation of findings might suggest an osteoid osteoma…..despite the fact that the patient is 36, it is well in the reported range of oo, albeit it older than usual.
I had not thought of it, but now I’m finding it difficult to think of another diagnosis to fit the imaging appearance.
Does anyone else have any thoughts?

I had recommended CT to better characterize the lesion and just emailed the referrer after I failed to reach him by phone.
I hope to get follow-up.

Here’s another case of an oddly "hot" little lesion, this one at the surface of bone.
Would be nice to have XR, but this is the only imaging I have on this patient.
The patient denies trauma history.

The fact that the referrer recently performed a steroid ITB injection with no relief makes sense, given the location of the lesion.

Again, I recommended CT….though I suspect XR might be very helpful.

Thoughts?
