The current MRI shows an ill-defined, enhancing mass abutting the lateral
calcaneal body with mild reactive BME but no cortical erosion, destruction
or marrow enhancement.
Because the prior MRI is not really comparable (1.2T), it it difficult to
know if the mass is unchanged or slightly larger.
XRs are 9 months ago.
At the time of the XR her pain was described as chronic and the referring
DPM suspected peroneal tendonitis.
What is this? Would you recommend biopsy or additional / follow up imaging?
