Interesting in that the patellar tendon is almost torn through with preservation of the lateral most 20% of fibers (remaining fibers are seen in last image). Also has a partial tear of the ITB (longitudinal oblique) and lateral retinaculum which is difficult to do.I just spoke to the ER physician and it was a soccer injury. (I suspected a motorcycle injury but it wasn’t).
