  1. Great job, everyone nailed it!

    FDP rupture. Jersey finger type 1 (retracted back to the MCP).
    Technically a zone 1 injury where the tendon ends up in zone 3.

    Forced extension of a flexed DIP like when grabbing a jersey in this photo.

    How do you tear a tendon or ligament? Make it function and apply force in the opposite direction exceeding the threshold of restraint.
